And this was made possible with the introduction of MTN virtual cards, which really have made online billing incredibly easy. So, if you want a faster way of paying your Netflix subscription fees, we will show you how to create a virtual card on MTN Mobile money and enjoy your online experience.

What is MTN Momo virtual card?

The MTN Momo card is a virtual card available to MTN customers that enables them to perform online transactions with funds from their MTN mobile money account. Once you create your MTN Momo virtual card, it will be linked to your Mobile Money account, which is typically accessible through your mobile phone. This way, you can load funds onto the card from your Mobile Money wallet and use the card for various transactions.

How to create MTN Momo card on Mobile money?

To get an MTN Momo card on your Mobile money account, you will simply dial *165*70*1# >>> Provide your mobile money account PIN, and confirm your action. MTN will send you an SMS confirming the creation of your virtual card and ultimately provide you with all the details of your card such as the CVV, card number, and the expiry date.

However, note that all MTN Momo virtual cards on are valid for only 30 days before expiring. So, you will always need to create a new MTN virtual card on your mobile money account once the old one expires. Additionally, your will be charged UGX 1,000 on each card your create.

How do I shop online with MTN Momo card on mobile money?

To shop online with your MTN virtual card and pay using mobile money, simply follow the steps below to complete the action:

Go to your desired online shopping or service site like Jumia, Netflix, DStv, GOtv, Amazon, etc
Select the service or product you want to pay for using MTN mobile money.
Go to the billing page of the products or services; ensure that the amount on your mobile money account is more than the total amount to be billed for the products.
Now choose a payment method, in this case, you are supposed to pay using debit card.
The required fields will be displayed. Now, fill in the name attached to your MTN mobile money, the card number, CVV, and expiry date. In case you don’t remember these details, dial *165*70*2# then enter your PIN. The details of your card will be sent via SMS.

After providing the necessary information, confirm your action by clicking the required button to purchase. The billing will be processed, and if it is successful, you will get a notification from MTN about your payment.

What can I use my MTN Momo virtual card for?

The Momo virtual card can be used to make payments at various merchants and service providers that accept Mastercard or Visa payments. This includes both online and offline transactions, such as shopping, bill payments, and online subscriptions. Below are the services and websites you can pay for services using MTN virtual card on your mobile money account:
